Carrie has a new name- Maggie. She seems to know her name already. She is also doing very well with housebreaking- has only had 1 accident since we brought her home Saturday. She hasn't had any accidents in her crate and only wakes up once in the night when she needs to go outside.
She is in her crate when I'm not here and the longest I have been gone is about 3.5 hours- she did fine. I also started walking her on a leash yesterday- she doesn't quite appreciate the walks yet, but she will soon. She is the best little dog I have ever known. She doesn't shed, barks very little, gets along very well with other animals and children. My nephews are 6 and 9 and they love her.
She likes to chew when she's not busy, so I just make sure she has plenty of toys to chew on. She hasn't coughed much the past couple days, but still has a runny nose. We think she has black lab in her and possibly border collie. She seems to try and herd the kids. She also likes to hide under my big hos ta leaves and chase little moths in the grass. It is so much fun watching her figure things out. I've attached a couple pictures.
Here is a picture of my little (39 lbs) Maggie. She is about 6 months old now. She is house trained and graduated from puppy training at Petco (the valedictorian of her class). For Halloween, she was a lady bug and didn't want to take the costume off.
